I have been on a makeup and beauty shopping spree from some time now and have finally managed to try all the new items in my stash to talk about my favourites here. There are a few things that my parents got from US which I have posted earlier on my social media and stuff that I got later from Nykaa or physical stores here. You might want to grab a cup of coffee before you start reading! 🙂
My daily makeup routine is very minimal and some concealer, kajal and mascara is all that I apply (or get time for) to work. But when it comes to blogging, I tend to go a little extra mile to get that perfect face for the pictures. A good foundation, concealer, highlighter, bronzer, blush etc are a must for me. And I can say that I have managed to find my favourites after all this time.
Healthy skin is again something that we constantly need to work on apart from good makeup. I think knowing what works best for your skin is super important and the products that I have shared in this post are my summer essentials and I cannot do a day without any one of these.
So lets just get to the details without any further delay.
Summer calls for skin that feels hydrated and looks fresh. My Vichy thermal water and Patanjali Aloe Vera gel have been a constant on my dressing as they help me achieve just that. I am diligently using the aloe gel every night and early morning after washing my face and I feel my skin quality has improved. I am not too sure if it tightens the skin but I can see a firmness around my cheeks.
The Forest essentials Mashobra honey and Vanilla lotion is for my daily office pouch and I basically use it as a hand lotion. I have personally tried many different hand creams but would suggest this to everyone looking for a good hand lotion. It has a strong fragrance which mellows down within few minutes of application but my skin has been loving it, so anything for that.
A spray sunscreen cuz who’s got time to apply a cream all over your body in the rush hour and a antiperspirant roll on to keep the sweat away. It is my second bottle from Marks & Spencer and I just cannot stop buying it.
This eye shadow palette called ‘The Blushed Nudes’ from Maybelline and blush/bronzer duo from NARS are my current obsession! I am literally so proud of myself for asking mum to shop these for me from the States. The shades are summer perfect and brings a nice glow to my face. These Real technique brushes are my first set and I know now there is no stopping after this. I have already ordered for a new set and so excited to work magic with them. 🙂
The Sephora mattifying pressed powder that you see is simply superb and I use this soft black powder brush to apply it on my face. It takes a little dust of it to set my makeup and does not make it look cakey at all, even if I am reapplying it when outside.
The Maybelline age rewind concealer is again something I am addicted to on daily basis, specially to conceal the puffiness. The major benefit of carrying it in my everyday makeup kit is that it does not need any brush to apply as it comes with a soft sponge at the front.
I was left heart broken when my Benefit mascara dried out but then I ordered this Maybelline falsies mascara after reading some good reviews about it from Nykaa. It was on discount and I am so glad I went on to purchase it. This one does the job just perfect and a little more plus it’s so economical. Win Win!
My two favourite foundations at present- I got the Maybelline Fit me foundation some time back and have already raved about it on my social media but this Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation is another gem. What I look for in a foundation is that it should not make my face look extra white or dry and this Covergirl foundation feels very natural on my face. Applying it is so easy with just a brush or sponge and it provides light to medium coverage depending upon how you build it. The pump dispenser opening is another plus for me!
These are my two favourite lipsticks that I am alternating to work on a regular basis. It is either the light pink one from Sephora ‘Rouge’ range or the nude shade which my mum got from US. Both are of moisturizing matte type, perfect for everyday wear.
Ok the last items on my list are a health drink that I am addicted to these days and a perfume roll on which I am scared of using it all. The Soya milk is my alternative to normal milk as I am trying to bring some changes in my diet and these flavored ones make it a little easy to consume.
The Tory Burch roll on smells divine, I wish you could smell it and see for yourself. It definitely gets a thumbs up from me! 🙂
So that was all about my recent favorites and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Do let me know if there are any of your personal favorites in there or something that you are addicted to this summer. I would love to hear from you guys! 🙂
