Quirky to me is not just an expression to describe any outfit but also an extension of one’s personality and the way they like to express their individual style. I love finding inspirations from daily life and spotting someone with a unique character or an outfit for that matter amuses me to no end. It can be something as small as a colorful bow complimenting your shirt or a pair of vibrant socks with your formal attire. I am certain such people possess an interesting persona. Now that does not make others any less interesting but there is no denying the fact that your style speaks a lot about your personality.
Looking back, not only do I see a change in my personal style from becoming more confident in terms of carrying a particular outfit to experimenting with different styles. But I see a change in my personality too, I am now a more sorted and positive person than ever. I do encounter insecurities or fears but having developed an attitude to deal with it helps. It might have to do something with growing up but a little quirk helps you get through situations, you feel me right?
So on days when there is nothing in my wardrobe that fits me(or I like to think so), I pick out something that my heart and mind approves of in a synchrony. This oversized tshirt that the lovely people at The Souled Store sent me solves the lazy girl problem of dressing up for me. At home I am just another girl walking around in a loose tee but to style the same while going out has to be anything but dull. I love adding details to my outfit that help me stand out rather than blend in. And the hack to not make your comfortable look boring is by adding accessories that elevate your look. Keeping that in mind, I reached out to this sea boat printed tote bag again from The Souled Store and my wool bowler hat for a touch of eccentricity to my relaxed weekend outfit.
Also with the temperature chilling down a bit in evening these days, I couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate timing to play with darker colors.
