It is almost mid of the week but I am still not over the fun we had last weekend. I am planning to document my time in this city and what better way than to start with this post. Norwich was buzzing with Lord Mayor’s celebrations on Saturday and a local shopping fair on Sunday called Norwich Lanes Fayre. If anything, this city knows how to make the most out of summertime! We decided to head out and check the carnival, snippets of which you would have seen on my Insta Stories! I had never seen so many people out on the roads till now and it was a beautiful sight. There were open air parties till late in the night and on Sunday celebrations started by 6 am in the morning! All in all it was a crazy fun weekend and we managed to click some pictures at the Funfair which I have put up here.
For someone who loves travelling, there is nothing better than getting to experience the local culture authentically. And these events are a perfect insight into that. Where the definition of travelling may be visiting famous monuments for some but for me it is about getting to live the local life while doing so. And I feel blessed to have this opportunity to experience a new culture in this new place. Well it was not easy adjusting to this city initially but there is nothing that time and some effort can’t fix. I would say that Norwich has been a much needed change for me. Now I hope this change turns out to be a positive one in the future! On that note, I leave you with these pictures and I hope you enjoy the post.
If you are in UK or planning to visit, do spend some time in Norwich. I am sure it is going to leave a good impression on you!
