Wow, haven’t been here in a hot minute but in case you didn’t know from my Instagram, Shivam and I moved to Toronto last month and things were pretty hectic initially. But now that we have shifted to our apartment after living out of the suitcase in a hotel for almost two weeks, things are slowly settling down. Plus the fact that the weather here makes me want to just cozy up in my bed and eat or watch Netflix does not help either. I am trying to find better ways to make use of my time, starting with joining a gym but also thinking of changing the way my blog looks and the content that I want to put up on here. I would love for you guys to give me some input on that or if you have any ideas for me to write about on the blog please do let me know in the comments below.
After blogging for almost 5 years now, I have seen very many different phases. The trying too hard to create content phase, always running behind schedule to post phase or the latest, posting what I like without worrying about the theme or schedule phase. It has taken me really long to reach here but I feel secure now and wouldn’t want it any other way. All these years have been a learning for me and I’ve seen myself grow along with this blog. Right now my focus is to create content and lots of it, but also enjoy whatever I do without making it look like a task. Don’t get me wrong, I am still (and always will be) a work in progress but looking back, I am super proud of how far I have come. From trying to force things to be a certain way to now embracing the natural flow of it all, makes me feel super happy. Also I am grateful to have met some really amazing people on the way and the mere fact that I’ve interacted with so many of you either online or in person is just amazing. We all have different purpose in life and I am happy to be where I am as I try to find mine.
Coming to this outfit, we shot this plaid on plaid look back in India and it got featured in the October issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine under their Streetstyle column!! The idea behind this look was to create an outfit that is season appropriate but is easy to pull off in warmer temperatures. The jacket that I am wearing is from H&M and is super lightweight to layer on top of your basic t-shirt and the knee length gives it an illusion of a winter coat. It is a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe and i’ll be sharing two more ways to style it in my upcoming post. But do let me know what you think of this one. 🙂
