Reviewing fragrance is a first for me and to be honest, I am naive at telling the top or base notes from each other. But what I sure know is when a fragrance makes me feel good and binds me with a certain moment. And I think that is one of the main reasons why I even collect perfumes in the first place. It is just like collecting memories for me. Just like this memory of us shooting these pictures while we were in Paris and in front of Louvre, shooting for a Parisian brand!
This classic bottle of latest launch by Givenchy is a true reflection of the French elegance. It might be a men’s fragrance but when I tried it on during the bloggers meet at Debenhams in Norwich, I thought to myself about how easily I can pull it off during the daytime. It is not too strong for daily wear and the floral and woody mix keeps it fresh.
The classic version of this fragrance was launched in 1974 and it was iconic to have a couture line launching its own fragrance. This year, the brand decided to change the composition by adding woody and floral notes to it and it still smells divine. There are lavender, patchouli, vanilla and leather notes present to name a few! The bottle is glass with smooth curved edges and graphic logo printed in black. This packaging can be considered as a modern classic.
I love wearing perfumes and having the right one that calms my nerves before an important event or just to feel good about myself, is what I look for. As for Shivam, he lets me pick the one for him given my ultra-sensitive nose! And the #GentlemanGivenchy is a perfect pick for someone who loves a classic bold fragrance!
