Summer has officially started in this part of the country (sorry to my friends still freezing in the gloomy winter weather). But if you ask me, Summer is no fun unless you are on a beach! Now that is a personal choice but I particularly hate it when it gets hot + humid, which is the situation here in Bangalore as I write this post (Update: It rained only yesterday after I drafted the post, so yay!!). I am constantly cribbing about stepping out of the house or running errands in the day, let’s not even talk about how difficult it is to lug all the way to work which is anyways not fun, thanks to the traffic!
With the change in season, I couldn’t help but make some necessary alterations in my wardrobe as well and this post marks the onset of summer 2016 on the blog. My jackets, sweatshirts and all the winter accessories have made way for bright prints, cotton shirts, light weight scarves and summer dresses. If you follow me on my social media platforms, you would know about my weekend trip to Goa in January this year and that is when I purchased this printed maxi skirt. It deemed perfect for Goa weather but last Sunday while I was getting ready to go out for my haircut (which turned out to be a complete makeover with really short hair do, you will see in coming posts!), I reached out to this maxi skirt for the weather outside compelled me plus I love strutting around in skirts come summer! Anything that is airy and comfy attracts me, and my sartorial choices are highly influenced by my mood!
As I have mentioned earlier in my posts, makeup was an untouched territory for me until I started blogging and after all this time, I can now say that it has been a fun experience so far. I now enjoy watching makeup tutorials and collecting lipsticks and blushes in all pretty shades possible. Now can you really blame a girl for loving makeup!
In my last makeup haul post I talked about this foundation and concealer from Maybelline Fit me range. I must tell you, this range is amazing and I have been using the same from the day I got it. You should definitely try it out if you haven’t yet! Keeping the accessories minimal, I paired this Swarovski choker with my plain white tee and completed the look with a messy top knot.
So how are you planning to beat the heat this summer? I would love to hear from you.
Until next time,
