I feel Sneakers are the answer to every girl’s struggle with wearing uncomfortable footwear without compromising on style. Not only they are the most practical option but with celebrities sporting their cool kicks outside of the gym, it has become an It accessory of a sort. Remember Victoria Beckham who once said ‘I can’t concentrate in flats’ danced around the streets of NYC during NYFW wearing her cool white trainers, much to everyone’s delight.
Anyways, my tryst with trainers started back in school and have been a constant till date. You can check out some of the looks that I have previously styled here ( 1 2 and 3). I love wearing heels but my everyday choice has to be a mix of comfort and style. So when I saw these iconic white Adidas Superstars with three black stripes at their store in VR mall, I knew they were coming home with me. To my surprise they had my size available and I was finally owning the iconic Adidas superstars!
I got them before leaving for my trip to Pondicherry and if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen my outfits already or you can check out here as well. These Adidas Superstars are my go to shoes now and they go with almost every casual outfit of mine. This particular look was inspired by my Back to school lookbook post I did earlier and has all the elements that goes back to the 90’s. This skirt that I got a while ago reminded me of the skirts we used to wear in school with broad pleats all over. I am amazed how all of it has made a come back at this point in time and trending. And while I was debating on a various looks in my head to style with the skirt, I saw this sassy printed shirt online. The digital print was something that attracted me and the rest is history. I couldn’t have styled this look the way I wanted without the sneakers though.
We got the perfect backdrop for these pictures at the property where we were staying in Pondicherry (you can check my latest travel post to find it out) and I like the way it complimented the colours in my outfit.
