Getting back to the Bangalore grind and to my blog after a long break feels like a huge relief. I started my year on a great note with regular blogposts for the first month but lost the groove somewhere amidst the shift back to India. It’s been a good homecoming after more than a year filled with weddings, countless shopping trips for wedding outfits, meeting loved ones and spending quality time at both my parents and in-laws place. But now that I am back, I am bloody motivated to give all my attention and time to my little blog. Whilst I apologise for the lack of blogposts, I promise there’s a lot of good stuff coming your way in the upcoming days, so keep watching this space for more!
While I was in UK, I got to meet some lovely bloggers in person and through social media and they have really inspired me. 2017 was good to me in terms of getting exposed to the international blogging scene and having time to figure out what I want to do with this platform that I have created. I have talked about it at lengths in my previous post – What I learnt from staying abroad for a year. Most importantly, the fact that I am not bored with creating content for all these years is a strong reason for me to keep going.
Talking of which, I still need to work on a lot of things and maintaining the consistency of posts is the first. Managing a full time job along with this blog was my excuse for not being able to give my 100% (Big ups to those who do it effortlessly!) initially. But now that I am not in a 9-5 job, this problem has to go, which is my aim right now. So I am starting by putting it right out there for you all to read so that I feel obligated to stay on track and not be lazy. For it is you guys who read my blog and appreciate my work that has kept me going for all these years and I cannot let you all down.
Also going into my list of improvements is the fact that I suck at sticking to my to-do list but it is currently WIP. I am trying to follow a routine like getting up early and sticking to a time frame to get done with the tasks that I have planned for the day. It is easy to get distracted with a hundred things when you are working from home so prioritising becomes really important.
I guess what I want to say here is basically talk to you guys about the things that kept me from blogging for a few months. And also share my struggles for motivation. So all you people who are with me on this, how do you stay motivated? Care to share some tips?
Coming to my outfit, I think there wouldn’t have been a perfect start to spring summer looks on the blog than this color which is also the Pantone color of the year 2018. I love pastel shades and this lilac linen jumpsuit feels really light and easy breezy for current weather. It looks cute and is really comfortable which is the most important thing. I added the double buckle belt to give a definition to my look and my recent most coveted posession that is this GG Marmont matelassé mini bag. It was a great deal for me to invest my hard earned money into this one but boy am I happy about it! It goes with all my western or Indian outfits and I just love it. Over the years my personal style has evolved and I don’t follow all the trends but I do invest in the ones that I can carry effortlessly. It is all about owning your look and feeling confident in it and that is what you will see on my blog always.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and got inspired to add some chic summer pieces in your wardrobe. There are a lot more ideas coming your way so stay tuned ladies. And do let me know if you have any suggestions about what you want me to talk about on the blog. I am all ears!
