Hey Guys
This post is visibly different from what i have done in the recent past for two reasons! One, I am styling Indian ethnic on blog after ages and Second, it has three looks combined together in a single post. Now I have never done that. But this post demanded elaboration and i kinda loved putting it together.
Being a Punjabi, my affection towards our traditional suits and kurtas is natural and when i got a few requests and suggestions to do a post on same, i was more than happy!! ๐
Now, i can relate to the situation when it becomes a task to bring variation in our style while wearing ethnic. But a few changes in accessories and styling can help us break the monotony.
I personally love wearing kurtas at times, specially during summers, for they look good, let me breathe and are versatile ( you would know !). You can try pairing any solid color kurta with printed bottoms or vice versa and there are so many design modifications which you can experiment with. Add embellishments, paint it or just keep it plain, it works every way. On weekends or days when i am in no mood to leave my comfort zone, i love to style my kurta boho chic way with a top knot, kolhapuri chappals, dark eyes and bright accessories. As simple and fun as it can get!!
In this post, i have tried to create three different looks with a white kurta(my fav!) for casual, formal and party wear.
Casual Look
White kurta and Blue jeans is a classic combination that you can wear to college, for shopping or to that ice cream parlor trip with your girls.
Formal Look
This look has sophistication written all over with decent print, fine tailored pants and big reading glasses. A leather strap-round dial watch further lends formal touches to the look.
Party wear
Big heels and colourful cotton silk dupatta paired with Patiala salwar is a very elegant outfit for occasions like a puja, ethnic day at office or a temple visit may be. A bright bold lip further compliments the entire look and you can add some danglers if you need.
