With the warmer temperatures rising upon us, we saw various trend influences on the ramp ranging from tropical prints to deep colors, denim dresses to leather ones, mesh details and sporty luxe, bohemian to neutral accents, freestyle silhouette to interesting drapes, chunky jewellery and summer sunnies in all exciting shapes for the season.
Summer of 2015 is sure to see a mix and match approach and this post is all about the wearable yet trendy summer style that you can incorporate in your wardrobe.
Lets see how and what can help you stay stylish this summer. Do not hesitate to add your personal touch to make it look great on you cuz that is where the whole trick lies.
Floral pattern is a classic summer favorite but this time we witnessed some quirky style glamour on ramp with life size prints and vivid color burst. This must try summer trend can be styled in form of a shirt may be or even a printed skirt paired along a solid color top. Shown here are fun pieces and my favorite from Masaba collection and by Quirk Box from Lakme Fashion week.
The denim trend is here to stay but what was prominent on the runway this time was a textured play of denim for dresses, jackets and even the denim overalls. If there is something that keeps the trend going is the comfort it provides. Apparently, this time we also saw the skinny jeans making way out for the clean and relaxed ripped boyfriend denims. Talking about from where you can stack some of the coolest stuff, do check out Vero Moda for I saw some really nice denim pieces in case you are interested. 🙂
Lace and mesh details
Flowy dresses with white lace details or intricate patterns on your regular shift dress, this trend is everywhere and is a summer wedding must have or in case you are planning on heading to the beach. There is a certain romanticism to the whole idea of it but this can be taken up the unusual route of androgyny by adding elements like mesh panelled joggers and lace detailed bomber jackets to your regular wear.
A coverup is a must have summer accessory and kimonos are a stylish way of doing so. They are lightweight and versatile. Floral, bohemian, fringed or knitted, pair them with your jeans, shorts, skirts and even dresses for they make a stylish statement while hiding any problem areas if you have or while wearing very short shorts. Love being experimental, then try clinging it at your waist with a thin belt for that clean look or you can just wear it as a kimono top by tucking the lower half inside your jeans.
This season has these cool kicks for all shoe-lovers out there emphasizing on comfort and wearability. To not let you miss your sleek and shiny heels, they come with embellishments, cut out patterns and even mesh and fringe details.
Neutral & Pastel colors
Nautical stripes in black and white, gingham or asymmetrical pattern in combination of blue, pastel pink with white are few of the famous trends we witnessed on runways. Its time you stock on some trousers in light pink or white and shirts in checked or striped pattern as they make for a perfect workwear wardrobe.
This is one of the most loved summer trend and celebrities are sporting it with fleek. With the music festival season on, these metallic tattoos are to be spotted everywhere. They make for a perfect beach accessory too and the craze is only growing. I am so going to try out these on my next holiday. 🙂 Shop them online at PipaBella or Chic Accessorizer in India.
