Busy weekdays leave me with only weekends to plan and shoot my outfits. So last weekend, to catch up with some necessary shopping i wore this bright outfit that has Spring written all over it. Orange is the new black they say but somehow it took me a while to try the trend. Finding these linen pants on sale was a bonus as i generally don’t get lucky with sales stuff. Undoubtedly, I was quite happy with my purchase and why not ?! These wide-legged pants are uber comfortable, lets your skin breathe and are trendy.

Trust me when i say, its a must-have piece in your wardrobe for the style n comfort it provides in hot temperatures. Plus the trend is not leaving anytime soon. Infact, i can see all sort of printed/plain version of these pants hanging in fresh spring/summer collections out in stores.

But If you still have inhibitions trying on these pants, i am writing down some tips and tricks according to different body types plus some styling ideas to make it simple for you guys. For my look in this post, i could not have thought of anything better than the abstract printed crop top i got from Forever21. So read along for some inspiration and i hope it will help shedding some common inhibitions :

For heavy frame : Try pairing palazzos with a long shirt or flowy top and accentuate your curves by clinging a thin belt over the flattering part of your waist. You can even try mid-rise pants for it gives you a slimming effect or throw in a blazer for a structured look.

For thin frame : You can either pair the pants with a solid color crop top or slouchy shirt half tucked inside since it adds weight to your outfit. You can also try printed or flowy pants as they provide a fuller look.

For Petite frame : Don’t shy away from wearing palazzos as you can always add height with heels. Also you can try high waisted ones for it gives an illusion of long legs. Finish off your look with a top hair bun which again adds some more height.

For Tall frame : I guess you people should definitely try palazzos for you have a right height to flaunt it. Wear it with a fitted top or jacket and finish look with flats or understated sandals. Too much of print or pattern in your outfit can make you look heavy so play safe with either single colored top or pants.

Quick tips :

  • Never buy Palazzos without trying since they are not your normal pants and size may vary.
  • Make sure the print is flattering for your body type. Like horizontal stripes may not work for those with fuller body.
  • Do not neglect the fabric. It may make or break your look.
  • For a formal look, go with tailored one’s and tuck in a button down shirt.
  • On a beach? Use the cotton one’s as a cover up for the lower half of your body.

So tell me, do you own Palazzo pants and how you wear them? Did you like this article and the pictures? In case you want to connect do write to me on my email or through social media. I will be more than happy to reply back to you. 🙂

  • Love how you’ve styled these pants. I jumped onto the palazzo bandwagon pretty recently and its unbelievably comfortable but yes as you said one has to be so mindful of their body shape and choose wisely.! That’s kind of boring though. :/
