Visiting home in Punjab is always a good break from the mundane and hectic city life of Bangalore. Cherry on top is the yummy food from my mum’s kitchen and shopping at local market. Actually my trip is never complete without jutti shopping from local leather craftsmen. And with my mom having her own boutique back home, I always make sure to get some dresses stitched for myself.

So a few weeks back when I was at home for a short while, my mom showed me some new pieces from her summer collection and I instantly fell in love with a couple of them. This ethnic fusion outfit is one of the two that I got stitched and are perfect for current Bangalore weather which is crazy hot! I wanted to create a summery boho look with this one, suitable for everyday wear. The outfit is quite simple but wavy hair, big silver necklace and dark lips give it an edgy touch.
While we were out scouting for location, we decided to stop by this place and I couldn’t help but take out my scarf and lay it down to sit and read, besides getting clicked of course! I wouldn’t call this shoot an editorial but we tried something new this time and I am quite excited with the outcome. The first set of pictures are my favorite and I would love to hear your views on them too.

One thing that I noticed recently while getting these dresses made is how I am suddenly inclined towards neutral colour scheme. They are a new favorite and all shades of grey, white, brown or black attracts me more than any brighter hues at the moment. No one is complaining here and summer is the perfect time to make merry with pastels shades and lighter hues, so why not!

It is not everyday that I am in the mood to style my hair differently but for this look I decided to glam my short hair with a curling tong. Although, the results were not very impressive and the curls loosened into pretty waves later but I couldn’t be more happier as my efforts didn’t go in vain. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this post. Do leave your comments below and let me know.
