Styling trench coat – Part 2

In continuation with the previous post, I am back with my second look for the trench styling lookbook on the blog. So it rained in Bangalore today after scorching heat last week and it finally feels a little like beginning of winter. I actually wanted to publish this look when the weather gets a little nippy and today is the perfect day.
Talking of Fall or Autumn season, it is the perfect time for transitioning from summer into winters, re-arranging wardrobe and setting the winter mood board. This post is all about same, only making it easier with your basics!

Looking back when I was in senior school, I used to wait for winters to arrive to take out my chunky sweaters and oversized sweatshirts to snuggle in. But things have changed for good now and I understand the importance of having statement pieces in my wardrobe which is categorised according to the occasion and my mood. I also love to surprise myself at times by trying something new, so it has a bit of that as well. And the one thing I tried for the first time this time is this trench coat, only to fall in love so deep with it that I am looking for another perfect one now to fit in my suitcase before I venture towards single digit temperature land.

In my previous post, I have styled it like a dress and paired tan booties along with it for a more sophisticated look. This time I have kept the look casual by pairing it with my boyfriend denim and tee. Have a look yourself and let me know how you like it.

It is a perfect piece when we need something not too clumsy but useful enough to keep us warm and up running. I know you dread wearing heavy woollens all day every day! So a trench when layered will not only keep you warm but makes a chic statement too. I would say, go ahead and give it a try and yes, thank me later! 🙂
