Knot it off!

Printed culottes

Culottes are definitely trending this summer with every high street brand having them in their S/S15 collection. I had purchased one pair last season and this time again I couldn’t resist getting these printed ones from Jabong.com. Styling these pants is tricky and can make you look ungraceful if done the wrong way. So if you are new to this trend, the safest way is to pair them with a chic crop top and wedges or a long loose kurta and punjabi juttis. You can also experiment with light layering and pencil heels for a much sharper look. I am definitely partial towards the latter option and my look is inspired by contemporary styling.

This look turned out to be a perfect break from bright colors and bold prints of summer! I paired the printed culottes with a dull lemon crop tee knotted on one side. This tee is almost an year old but seldom worn and I love how it matched perfectly with the culottes here. The black jacket further complimented my look with golden buttons and defined collar. Keeping the makeup minimal with just bright nails and lips is now becoming my forte!

The fringe bag you see is yet another popular trend at the moment! I have been using this bag from the day i have got it and although it’s not very spacious, i still like to carry it for its style quotient! Fringing is risky and you need to be very cautious while playing around with it. Its advisable not to go overboard and choose neutral colors like beige, black, white or tan. Safest accessories could be a bag or a light kimono jacket. If your style is edgy you can always try a fringe garment but either a skirt or a top and never both.
