You can tell by now that I am obsessed with DIY face masks these days. After this summer face mask for glowing skin, I have another one to deal with the dull and dry skin today on the blog. Now this is again a very easy to make recipe with just 2 ingredients from your kitchen. I have tried it personally and found it better than any deep skin moisturiser. Just use it twice a week for few weeks and see the difference. Oh and you can use it all year round specially if you have large pores problem as I do.
I have a combination skin type that tends to act up with any change in my diet or weather conditions around. So I like to try home remedies before reaching out to products available in the market. This particular mask helps to keep my skin well hydrated and shining.
1. Honey – It moisturises the skin and has anti-ageing and anti-bacterial properties. It fights the acne causing bacteria and a regular use of honey can also helps lighten the scars.
2. Brown sugar – It acts as a dead skin exfoliator and when paired with honey takes care of skin moisture level.
Take 2-3 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of fine grounded brown sugar and mix it well. Apply all over your face and massage in circular motions. If you feel the resistance due to stickiness then wet your finger tips with a little water while massaging. Make sure to go slow and do it gently without hurting your skin. Do this for good 2-3 minutes until the sugar starts to melt. Then leave it for a few minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with clean towel and apply any serum or face oil after.
There you have it, my super quick and easy face mask for dry and dull skin. Let me know if you do try it out. Would love hearing from you 🙂
